Key Components of an Email:

  2. Recipient: The person or system receiving the email, also identified by an email address. You can send an email to one or multiple recipients.

  5. Attachments: Files (like documents, images, or PDFs) that can be sent along with the email.
  6. CC (Carbon Copy): Allows sending a copy of the email to other recipients without requiring their direct response.
  7. BCC (Blind Carbon Copy): Similar to CC, but recipients added in BCC are hidden from other recipients.

How Email Works:

  • Emails are sent from a mail client (like Gmail, Outlook, or Thunderbird) using an internet connection.
  • The email travels via email servers (Mail Transfer Agents) which route the message to the recipient’s server.
  • The recipient retrieves the email from their mail server when they open their email client.
