HOT OFF THE PRESS
Microsoft Internet Explorer User's at RISK.
Reading in the Metro newspaper I found this article about Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" web browser.
Hacking fear after Microsoft help cut!
"Millions of internet users could be at risk from web viruses after Microsoft ended support for older versions of it's "Internet Explorer" web browser. The tech giant will no longer supply updates for versions 8, 9 and 10 of the program, as it focuses on it's leading edge browser. Some experts predicted an increase in attacks by hackers - and warned 340million global Explorer users it was 'imperative' to upgrade. Most malware is delivered via your web browser,' said Mark James of online security from ESET"
(Metro newspaper Wednesday 13th January 2016)
So as I was looking at this I see that the users with the following Windows version's are still at risk as they can only go to the following version's of Internet Explorer.
Windows XP - Internet Explorer 8 version cannot update further.
Windows Vista - Internet Explorer 9 version cannot update further.
Windows 7 - Internet Explorer 11 version cannot update further unless you reinstall it, as Internet Explorer 8 so you will have to do your updates to Internet Explorer to version 11
So as these people above that are still on their older version's of Windows above. Don't have Internet Explorer as a secure web browser the following one's I would recommend as an alternative are.
These Web browsers are always getting updates and offer a more secure browser than the older version's of Internet Explorer offered by Microsoft.
